For the fourth summer in a row, we are a host family for the Mankato Moondogs. "Our Moondog" this year is Danny Keefe from Florida. And we are lovin' having him as part of the family. I just came inside from taking pictures of Danny and Tyler playing catch in the front yard - they're posted in the photo album on the left side of the page. Tyler relishes every opportunity to do ANYTHING with Danny and Danny is so willing to to humor him!

Thank you so much for the wonderful pics and the article. It is great to know Dan is with such a great family.
Are you really reading all those books???? WOW

Hi Shawna!
Actually, those are books I've finished since January - I read 2 or 3 at a time but I'm not that good!
THANK YOU for the Omaha Steak box! WOW! That was so thoughtful of you! I told Danny I needed your address again so I could thank you for it and he said "You all will just keep thanking each other forever!" Last night we (and by 'we' I mean 'Danny') grilled some of the steaks - they were DELICIOUS.
We are SO totally loving having him. He is SO great with Mike and Tyler and that's what makes having a Moondog so special to us. To see them interact with the kids just warms our hearts. Yesterday, Danny and Tyler went to see the Simpsons Movie (I had NO intention of seeing that so I will be eternally grateful to him for taking Tyler!). Then they wrestled, goofed off, played catch, and hung out. My favorite quote was when Tyler was teasing Danny about being bigger and stronger than he was so he should go first in the game they were playing. Danny said "Yeah...in bizarro world!" It was perfect!
We're sad that the pitching rotation changed. Now instead of seeing him pitch 3 games at home, he's got 3 games on the road. We'll try to go to the Rochester games but will miss his final game at Alexandria.
Hi to everyone!
Valerie
